Research And Technology Center

With an aim to better play SMTG’s exemplary roleand leadership in the MIM industry, enhance the core competitiveness of China's MIM products in the international market, break the foreign technical barriers, enhance the resource advantage of China’s MIM industry, and meet the market needsat home and abroad, SMTG established a national “High-Tech Research and Development Center” in 2015 to build up a technology innovation mechanismintegrating the research, manufacturing, testing, marketing and management. SMTG has established a research institute and a technology center, which were respectively recognized as provincial enterprise research institute and provincial enterprise technology center by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. SMTG has been cooperating with well-known universities in China to jointly develop new materials and technologies and cultivate talents. SMTG’s investment in research and development every year is well above the industry average. It has obtained morethan 80 patents for inventions or utility models.

SMTG’s new five-year development strategic plan: Based on MIM technology while utilizing other cutting-edge technologies, SMTG will further promote development of MIM industry, increase theexport of MIM products, explore new fields of MIM technology application, and establish SMTG’s brand image in the international MIM industry. Adhering to scientific development and independent innovation, SMTG will keep close eye on the ability of MIM technology to replace the machining and precision casting technology inthe complex and precise metal structural parts, and constantly improves its capability of developing products, materials, molds, automation and processes, so as to provide customized products and solutions in the fields of consumer electronics, automobile,medical equipment, optical communication and home appliances. SMTG will establish a competitive talent strategy to facilitate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, by recruiting and cultivating a large number of senior technical personnel to build a talent pool to support the company’s future development, and accelerating the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements to drive the industrialization and marketing of new products.

SMTG’s technology center is responsible for the development of new manufacturing technologies, upgrading and improvement of existing technologies,and key technological transformation projects. The technology center has more than 200 senior technical personnel with experienced experts in each field. In the past years, they have overcome numerous technical problems, enabling SMTG to maintain its leading position in the industry.
